Alibaba Now Offers Payment Protection, Financial Lending To Buyers

Alibaba, China’s biggest online commerce company and the world's fastest growing e-commerce marketplace, unofficially launched their Trade Assurance Program during ASD Market Week, the largest, most comprehensive trade show of its kind that welcomes over 45K attendees bi-annually. Officially, this program will launch this Spring, however this soft roll-out is currently taking place in  Las Vegas from March 1-4, 2015, at the Las Vegas Convention Center, where Alibaba introduced their Trade Assurance Program with praise to ASD buyers and worldwide buyers alike.
The Trade Assurance Program from Alibaba gives buyers peace of mind that their order will be completed on time, and at the level of quality they expect - which eliminates any stress or concern in working with qualified vendors," stated Camille Candella, Vice President of Marketing for ASD Market Week.
Alibaba created the Trade Assurance Program in an effort to protect and support buyers while connecting them with China based suppliers. While at ASD Market Week, I had the opportunity to sit down with Michael Lee, Head of International Marketing and Business Development at Alibaba.com ALBIY +0%, who shared with me the value of the newly launched Trade Assurance Program.
The market has long needed a trusted destination to connect serious buyers and suppliers. In business to business, however, nothing existed. Alibaba.com exists to provide a safe B2B trading platform, and the Trade Assurance is just another step in this direction.Essentially, Alibaba and our Trade Assurance Program creates a trusted eco-system for these serious buyers and suppliers to connect and work together," explained Lee.
